What We Do

We are focused on moving global decision-making on climate and environment to national and local-level implementation, while ensuring women’s empowerment, gender equality and social justice remain central to our process. We know collaboration is key. We are leveraging our collective strength to deliver high-quality services and products with governments, multilateral agencies, donors, civil society organizations and networks.

Technical support and strategic guidance

We support clients and their stakeholders with diverse technical knowledge on sectors and processes. From developing gender-positive sectoral policies; and designing gender-responsive budgets and impact indicators; to identifying existing gaps in sectors and priority actions; and mapping and collaborating with local experts and networks to mobilize action. We provide thought leadership, strategic advice, and clear and articulate communications on policy and program goals, results, and impacts.

Training and capacity building

We manage and facilitate processes at all levels, and across sectors and cultures, to enhance capacity on gender dynamics, issues, and methodologies. We build individual and institutional capacities to increase engagement in national dialogues, processes and on-the-ground implementation to address environmental and climate issues with measures that respond to and advance equitable social contexts.

Research, analysis, and knowledge generation

We conduct cross-sectoral research and analysis on the intersectional gender and social dynamics in our focus environment and climate sectors. Our work provides evidence, identifies key issue areas, bridges gaps, articulates opportunities, and fosters learning with recommended pathways forward in support of our partners, and in developing new tools, methodologies, and projects.
